The gloss has been taken off India's impressive run in One-Day International cricket after the team lost its second match in a row against the West Indies.

India still claimed victory in the five-match series in the Caribbean, but the 3-2 scoreline is a disappointment given that the World Cup champions were 3-0 up last week, before the wheels fell off on faster and bouncier wickets.
Let's set aside the fact that nobody was watching and press on.
A clean sweep in the West Indies would have seen India rise to the top of the ODI rankings, but after slipping up in the final two matches India remains rooted in second place behind Australia.
Still, it's a series win and India had the chance to blood some lesser known faces as seasoned stars like Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virender Sehwag sat out the tour, either because of injury or for rest after prioritizing the Indian Premier League over national duty.
Rohit Sharma was a star for India and named man of the series after scoring a total of 257 runs, while Suresh Raina did a good job as captain, even though his own form seemed to suffer. India is blessed with quality players, and Raina, at just 24, is one of the younger generation that could help India dominate world cricket for the next decade and more.
